When aluminum is the right call
Aluminum is an open picket fence. It marks a boundary, contains a yard and finishes a frontage without closing off the view. On properties with landscaping worth seeing, or a house worth showing from the street, a solid privacy panel throws it all away.
It also does the one thing wrought iron cannot do in this state: it does not rust.
Why it lasts in Florida
Steel and iron corrode in humid, salty air. Aluminum does not — the metal forms its own oxide layer instead of flaking away. The powder-coated finish handles UV and stays on the picket rather than peeling like paint on iron.
Maintenance is washing it. There is no sanding, no repainting, no rust treatment.
Heights and use
Four foot residential
The standard for front yards and decorative boundary runs. Tall enough to define the property, low enough that the house is still the thing you see.
Taller runs
Six foot aluminum works where you want security and sightlines at the same time — side yards, rear boundaries backing onto open land, commercial frontages.
We do not install pool barrier fencing. A fence around a pool has to meet Florida pool barrier code, with self-closing and self-latching hardware, and that is not a service we offer right now. If that is your project we will say so rather than quote it.
Gates
